Core Qt 3DCoin Wallet how to make a clean fresh install (also with backup of your wallet)
#FRESH #CLEAN #INSTALL #SETUP #WALLET #BACKUP #CORE #QT
If you want to try a fresh-clean install of a core qt 3dcoin wallet try this step by step:
Note: If you don't know where is the main folder of wallet you can find the complete path in the "repair wallet" menu
Backup first ️ your wallet.dat file in various external drives, also using the backup function in the old wallet or simply copy and paste the wallet.dat file from the main wallet folder to many other destinations in external drives (with wallet closed of course). ️Without a correct backup you lose your coins️
If you are a masternode owner make also a backup ️ of file masternode.conf
After backup, with wallet closed ️, rename the main old folder of old wallet from 3dcoin to 3dcoin_old (is the folder with wallet.dat inside).
Download again the new wallet zip archive for your system and unzip in a different folder (not the same of the first unzip) from official repository
Run-open the new unzipped wallet as usual (double click on 3dcoin-qt.exe executable file usually located in the "bin" subfolder of unzipped archive, if you can not find the 3dcoin-qt.exe file directly in the main unzipped folder) and do not modify the path when the program ask, leave the default path (please note the path!).
Don't worry you don't see your coins because this is a new clean wallet!
If you are a masternode owner don't forget to set in the settings menu "enable coin control" and "show masternodes tab")
After the synchronization of blockchain, when wallet has finished (wait about 20 minutes... depends on the connection) when all is synchronized, close the wallet.
Please note: If you have connection problems, check first your pc firewall and if you do not solve follow also the instructions to add trusted nodes / peers as indicated in the following second post
Now put the backup files (wallet.dat and also masternode.conf if you have masternodes) in the new folder of the new wallet (noted on number 5 of this post ️ but you can always see the path of main folder in the repair menu of the wallet).
Open again the wallet and now you can see your coins and your masternodes.
New Wallet v.0.14.1.2 released today 05-02-2019
New protocol 70216
For those who want to do a clean wallet installation ( ️ always be careful to backup first your wallet.dat and your masternode.conf files!!! ️ ) the instructions above in the first post are always valid. Today the blockchain is about 670 megabytes so if you want to re-load it all with a clean installation it will take about half an hour, but it depends on the connection.
If you need some peers/nodes for 3dcoin.conf file (in case your wallet could not find nodes to connect to, but it's usually not necessary, check your firewall first) here are those approved
#addnode #trusted nodes
(approved by the team and published also on official Github)
Add the lines below in your 3dcoin.conf file (in the 3DCoin files directory) if you have #sync or #connection problem in your wallet (but first check also your firewall!)
addnode=18.104.22.168 addnode=22.214.171.124 addnode=126.96.36.199 addnode=188.8.131.52 addnode=184.108.40.206 addnode=220.127.116.11 addnode=18.104.22.168 addnode=22.214.171.124 addnode=126.96.36.199 addnode=188.8.131.52 addnode=184.108.40.206 addnode=220.127.116.11 addnode=18.104.22.168
You can double check the IPs above here:
As already mentioned, connection problems are often due to the firewall, so you can usually leave the 3dcoin.conf blank in your pc and the wallet will still find nodes/peers automatically.
I remind you also as already reported that there is a mandatory update to do for the masternodes, published yesterday 04-02-2019, by doing this update your masternodes will be automatically updated to the new version at a random time by the new powerful self-updated script prepared by our fantastic dev's team!
New Wallet v.0.14.3.2 released today 06-02-2019
For clean installations and restore of wallet.dat and masternode.conf backup see instructions in previous posts always valid!
