️ Please note
Some questions and answers could be selected and partly reworked and listed in different order or grouped by topic for editorial reasons and in general for better readability and usability, in short, an editorial cut is given but without the intention of distorting the meaning and the content.
Of course, discussions between users that are allowed during the AMA (if they are related to the topics covered) are normally not included in the log. Only the users' questions to the CEO/LeadDev and his direct answers are shown in the log.
Some questions are transversal to the various main topics so they have been grouped under a topic that has been considered suitable but could also be read in reference to other topics.
For what concerns any upcoming / future partnerships, in some cases any anticipations discussed in the chat during the AMA that mentions possible names of other parties/entities (for example, other companies or exchanges) awaiting official announcements could be left out of the log as it is to be considered an informal discussion in chat and therefore could be deemed necessary to leave them to the informality of a chat. This is therefore established on a case by case basis for each AMA log.
The main purpose of this log is to provide users with all the technical topics discussed in order to have any answers to technical and operational issues at hand, so the rest of the topics not strictly related to technical / operational questions may not find space in this log at the discretion of the content editor.
However, the entire original AMA can be viewed in full, starting from the following message in the official Telegram group:
This AMA event has also been added to CoinMarketCal, Coindar and CoinsCalendar cryptocurrency calendars:
We are very happy because this AMA was not only a "trending" event as usual on CoinMarketCal for some days but also one of our most voted events with over 100 votes and for the first time we got 100% confidence (great! only upvotes this time!). Nice to see as always also some hearts / likes in our Coindar event, demonstration that our 3DCoiners love our events and appreciate the 3DC presence in various cryptocalendars!
This AMA took place during the Black Friday and during our small ironic social marketing campaign
As happened for the previous AMA, this time too during the previous days the users of the Telegram group had the chance to post their questions in advance, so a list of questions was prepared to be answered at the beginning of the AMA. Then of course further questions were asked live during the AMA.
We also collect questions for AMA in the Telegram group of the numerous and active Italian community.
The list of questions collected before the AMA is available at this direct link in our Telegram group:
Brief overview of the topics of this AMA
Also this AMA like the previous one took place at a fairly quiet time for the network after the considerable efforts of the previous weeks, the masternodes network it's working normally and most of the 3DCoin masternodes (6320 enabled and working masternodes now) have been updated, synchronized and enabled ready to overcome the scheduled fork at the 850k block height (expected in just over 2 weeks).
During this AMA we mainly discussed the highly anticipated new upcoming Primenodes that can be activated after the 850k block (in the ratio of 1:30 with the Masternodes as we know) to the question of usable IP addresses (we also discussed the future implementation of IPv6). There was also talk of the future Pulsenodes that will come after the Primenodes to complete the 3DCoin triple layered blockchain, all nodes with very specific functions especially in relation to the Project Districts Virtual Reality dapps platform (in short, if you had thought of the "tiered masternodes" you have badly thought, here we are dealing with structural nodes with specific different functions and with three blockchains in one, nothing to do with the "tiered masternodes" of other projects that only serve to guarantee different rewards for different collaterals). Finally, features related to Virtual Reality and in particular to audio features were also discussed.
It was considered necessary for this log not to group questions and answers by topic but to report them exactly in the original order because, given their variety, it does not require an editorial intervention.
AMA's Questions and answers
Will future Pulsenodes be unlimited in number like Primenodes? So, the proportion limit 30 Masternodes for each Primenode applies only to the Masternodes? Or is there a numerical limit also for future Pulsenodes?
The limit is only for masternodes, it's a temporary solution to grow a healthy network.
For an immersive reality like that of Districts we also need a suitable music! I am thinking for example of the so-called 8D or Ambisonics music. In my opinion it is a good sign that even brands of the caliber of Sony are engaged in the field of 360° audio that goes well with Virtual Reality. As for Districts, will you be supporting 360° audio in any way? Can you tell us if you have already tested something in this regard?
We already using a similar solution in ambience and effects sounds, we will add your suggestion for music, it will be awesome feature in Districts.
What if noone builds prime or pulsenodes as its not economical incentive? Can a prime/pulse run on the same IP as a masternode - so side by side?
it won't work because is same network, nodes can't function with same ip address
About ip addresses. Not long ago there was info that in EU, Russia and some other regions are out of new IPv4 addresses. In the future, is it possible to implement IPv6 in 3DC?
Yes, we will add the IPv6 soon, tor and proxy also.
About IPv6, it will be possible to have multiple masternode or primenode in the same VPS with different IPv6?
Yes of course, the same thing for IPv4.
I know you aswered before but... can you replay again?
After block 850k, we can wait to have about 230 prime for 1/30 ratio with current number of MN before make NEW MN or current MN are free of 1/30 Primenode/Masternodes ratio?
We have to wait for 230 before the network accepts new masternodes.
️ Note: The number of 230 Primenodes enabled as a necessary threshold to activate further new Masternodes after the 850k block is only an indicative example as it depends on the number of active masternodes in real time, what must be kept in mind is the ratio of 1 to 30, that is, for each active Primenode there can be in proportion no more than 30 Masternodes.
So every new node activated till +230 new nodes (about, from current masternodes count) after 850k block will be a Primenode?
️ Note: See the note to the previous answer.
There will be a sort of counter/display the status of needed kind of nodes?
Yes, also we added the efficiency percentage, if there is a problem with your node connection you will notice easily.
So, if I understood right, MN hosting services will have to enable second type of node (Primenode) creation for 3DC?
Do not hesitate to participate in the next Friday's AMA, we are waiting for you!
